FurnXpert, the only Industrial Furnace software in the market, can simulate any furnace for any heat treating applications. These furnaces can be either a batch or continuous. Although our vision is to develop a software for all types of heat treating applications and furnaces, at this time the software has been developed for a selected few. We have developed the software for those applications and furnaces where we have many years of experience and expertise. In order to perfect and test the software we have closely worked with furnace manufacturers and users in these selected applications.
The underlying concepts of any heat treatment process are the same. However there could be variations due to furnace design, materials of the heated parts, furnace atmosphere, heating types, and types of controls. Our objective is to provide our customers with an off-the-shelf thermal process software for their furnace simulation and design calculations. If we don't have a ready-made software available for certain applications for certain customers, we will work with them to make it customizable.
What is a Batch Furnace?
Batch furnaces are used to heat parts in batches. Batch furnaces usually have one zone to control and the temperature of the zone changes along time. This enables the parts to see different processing temperature during heat treating process.
What is a Continuous Furnace?
Continuous furnaces are used to heat parts for continuous production. Parts enter the furnace on one end and get discharged on other end. Usually there are several control zones and these zones are maintained at different temperatures.
